This report forms part of the Council's continuous engagement activities on the County Durham Plan. It has been prepared in order to consult on the approach we adopt to planning for waste management in the County to 2030. This report:
- provides an estimate of how much waste needs to be managed by 2030 for key waste types;
- sets out when new capacity will be required;
- indicates how this should be done in terms of meeting identified targets; and
- indicates in broad terms where new facilities should be located.
