Thank you for visiting Durham County Council’s Consultation Portal for the Regeneration and Economic Development Service
Here you can find out about and make your views known to us on a wide range of planning, transport, economic development and housing related documents and policies which are being prepared by your Council on your behalf.
Over the next few years we will use this website to consult you on a new planning framework for County Durham. Officially this is known as the County Durham Local Development Framework, but to avoid jargon, we will refer to it as the County Durham Plan. Similarly, we will also use this website to consult you on our new Local Transport Plan (LTP3) which will outline the future of transport in the county. Consultation on a full draft document will occur in Summer 2010.
Your views are very important to us
Consultation gives you the chance to tell us what you think about local services. Listening to you helps us to become more responsive to your needs and priorities. Your views will be fully considered when we prepare all of our documents. Consultations may take the form of documents, questionnaires/surveys or forums on any given topic.
We are encouraging people to view and respond to our consultations on-line to reduce the time it takes you to respond to the consultation and reduce the time it takes us to analyse your responses.
In some instances, you will be asked to register or log in before being able to participate in a consultation event. To register, please click on the 'Register' link within the 'Login' section.
Our site tour will help you find out more about what you can do on this site. If you need help with using these pages, please contact us using the email address or telephone numbers set out in the event information box associated with each consultation.
We are committed to ensuring that staff and people using Council services or facilities receive fair and appropriate treatment. We will provide support in the most appropriate way to meet your particular needs. Please visit the Durham County Council website to find more about our translation and interpretation service.
Thank you and we look forward to reading your responses.
